Human Resources Process Modeling
Last summer we started working on a year long project with the Human Resources Department at Michigan Tech to analyze their business processes and make recommendations to help them streamline flows and reduce unnecessary data input. We modeled the as-is processes in order to understand how data moves throughout the department and how it is stored. Spring semester 2011 we will gathered information regarding applications currently in use and how they exchange information. The process models and the application usage data will be used to make recommendations to the Human Resources Department on how to best utilize current and unimplemented software packages.
